This was my first go around with the 3 Day Refresh by Beachbody and I can honestly say that it was much easier than I had anticipated. There was plenty of food to eat and I'm sure I could have branched out a bit by switching up what I chose off the lists. I'm a creature of habit and therefore I literally ate the same exact thing each day. I was pleasantly surprised by how much food you could actually eat, and found myself having a little trouble finishing my entire salad for dinner. Each day consists of drinking Shakeology, Fiber Sweep, Vanilla Refresh for Lunch and Dinner, as well as a fruits, vegetables and a dinner recipe from the program guide. Herbal Tea and lots of water is important as well! It is recommended that you drink at least 64 oz. of filtered water on top of what you use in the shakes and the tea.
WHAT I ATE EACH DAY: (KNOW YOU HAVE MANY OTHER OPTIONS!)
Breakfast: Chocolate Shakeology with a 1/2 medium banana
Mid Morning: Herbal Tea
Snack: Fiber Sweep
Lunch: Vanilla Refresh, celery with almond butter and strawberries
Snack: Carrots with almond butter
Mid Afternoon: Herbal Tea (decafeinated)
Dinner: Vanilla Refresh, Salad Recipe from the Dinner Recipes list in the Program Guide
There are different options, but for meal prepping and ease I chose to stick with what I was comfortable with. This was how my 3 days went:
Day 1: I was traveling for work, so I had to stop at Dunkin Donuts at a rest area for hot water for my tea, I had to SHAKE up my fiber sweep with water vs. blending it, and same for the Vanilla Refresh. But all in all it worked out just fine! I came home and ate my dinner, made my shake in the blender (thankfully), had some more herbal tea before bed and Day 1 was complete.
Day 2: Office day so I brought my hand Cuisinart Stick Blender to work and blended the Fiber Sweep this time (which I highly recommend) as well as the Vanilla Shake. Today I added some of my strawberries to the shake for lunch and it was TASTY!! In the evening I could only have the Shake, as fruit is not an option in the evenings, and another really nice salad! Again ... a little trouble eating the entire thing!
Day 3: Same as above and just when I was getting the hang of it all ... it's kind of over!
So all in all, I found the 3 Day Refresh to be a surprisingly simple way to do a cleanse. You have many food options, the shakes are pretty delicious, the fiber sweep is more than tolerable, you don't spend all day in the rest room, and the results are quite good! The key is to continue eating clean and incorporate the best, healthiest foods you can ... don't go back to where you were, or what was the point???
I would definitely reccommend the 3 Day Refresh to banish all those bad habits you may have slipped into and kickstart a new beginning for your fitness and health journey! I know many people who choose to do this once a quarter, and some do it once a month! It's really simple and so much better than those old classic cleanses where you're afraid to leave the house and you only drink liquids and fiber drinks. NOT SO WITH THIS PRODUCT!!
